Der Dritte Raum („The Third Room“) is the alias of producer Andreas Krüger and live co-pilot Ralf Uhrlandt. In 1994 D3R signed with Sven Väths Harthouse label, debuted with Elektro Disco EP, followed soon after by the full-length album Mental Modulator in the same year. They went on to release another full-length on Harthouse (Wellenbad) then, after that label’s demise, signed to Virgin Schallplatten GmbH for their 3rd album Raumgleiter, 4th album Distanz, and Klubraum. D3R is best known as a live PA and is one of the few artists to merge techno, trance, house and funk into one new sound that is uniquely identifiable. Their largest songs to date are „Hale Bopp“, „Polarstern“ and „Swing Bopp“. December 2017 Der Dritte Raum released their „25 Years D3R Album“. On this album, pioneering producer Andreas Krüger has assembled numerous classics and hits which have been – with one exception („Plasmatica“, 1992) – entirely RECONSTRUCTEDShow more
Der Dritte Raum - Technical Requirements 2016 This document is integral part of the booking contract. Mixer We need a standard 4 channel DJ mixing console. (for example Allen & Heath Xone, Pioneer DJM etc) it must be a separate 4-Ch Mixer in addition to the DJ mixer. Monitor We require good sounding stereo monitor system in ear-height - no floor monitors please! If we ́re placed next to the DJ we can use the same monitor system. Output Wiring You can connect our output via sub-mixer etc. directly to the PA or simply put our signal to one of the Line Inputs of the main DJ mixing console. Vice versa, no signals like from the DJ mixing console or similar should be placed on „our“ 4-ch mixer. Monitor Wiring Just connect the monitor system to the Booth Monitor Out of the 4-ch mixer. If you have connected our output to the main DJ mixer, we can simply use the same Booth Monitor Output. Wiring (general) Besides the monitor & output wiring no additional cables are required. Power Supply We need 4 (four) 110...240 Volt power jacks with 1 „Type C“ or „Type F“ plug socket for european / german plugs. Table / Space We need at least 130 cm x 70 cm space for our setup. (incl. the 4-ch mixer) Please place the 4-ch mixer in the center and leave about 50 cm space left & right for our equipment. (see pictures...) Lighting From our side, the lighting design is fully up to the local lighting engineer. Setup / Soundcheck We need about 20min to set up and check our system. We prefer to do a soundcheck prior to the event - but it is not quite neccessary. In some cases like Festivals etc. we are also fine with a simple Line Check a few minutes before we start playing. (optional gear) From time to time we bring some additional gear like Synthesizers, Effects etc. We will inform you in due course. Table Surface We need at least 130 cm x 70 cm space for our setup.
